Double The Fun

 Happy Happy Birthday to my little boy who loves Cars, Reading Together,Singing Wheels on the bus,baseball and Snuggling in on Saturday Morning  for tickle fights.  Can't believe you are two wanting to do everything by yourself in so many ways wanting to be complete independent. But still wanting me to be a step behind or head to make sure it's safe to be so on your own. I have loved ever minute of everyday with you and even when we had hard moments and you would throw a fit and I was warn out it was and will always be worth it.

 
Jeffrey Jensen two parties are always twice the fun. We had a party at Grandma Sharie and Grandpa Bart. It was a combined party your second birthday and your Grandpa Fiftieth birthday. It was one to remember. Being at in Boston you have become a new found fan of Baseball because the talk of the Red socks and playing baseball on the Wii.  So between that and your love of Disney Cars we thought this would be perfect cake and gifts. 


Here is cake Number one the Boston cake home so to speak coming out of a box but well liked by all. But JJ you loved the cars on top so much you had to take them off as soon as we finished singing.

The Second Cake was going to be cup cakes we would make together like this cake. But your daddy had a better idea. So instead he picked up a pie from a favorite places in town . Not just any pie but a chocolate Oreo Cheese Cake pie. It was so good. 

The best part of both Cakes was singing and by the time we did it the second time at home just us as a family. You were smile and giggles know you got to blow out the candles your favorite part it was so cute.  With both parties you got some really cool persent  they call get played with a lot. The biggest one is your bed your so happy to have your own big bed you can get in and out whenever you want with trouble. But here are the other, Cars the Movie, Baseball glove& ball, Thomas the Train Flash light and your Froggy Potty sit with Car stickers to make it JJ potty sit.

All these gift were fun to watch you open play with or use for the first time. You do everything with your whole heart. I am looking forward to this new year of fun. One of which I hope will be potty train which is going really well so far. You love your potty sit and have gone in it twice now. We add more stickers as we go so by the time we are done you will not able to tell it's a frog but you are so happy putting a new sticker on every time  you sit on the potty and that fine with me.  Also watching you throw the ball and try and caught it will your whole body . It starts with that tongue like your mom sticking out trying to concentrate on caught it and then jumping forward with your glove held out yelling caught its great.  

So two years down so many more to go. I hope that you love it as much as I do and that we keep having moments together as family and friends that we can caught on camera like this.

A Birthday Present for Mom,Grandma Sharie

Dearest Grandma Sharie,
When we had a planned a ready to come to your house for month we had a list of things to bring. Two of which was a card and present and guess what with all the packing and getting ready that got put to the bottom of the list. So we made to your home happy to be there loving the snow and no present or card. You thought we might have sent in the mail so you look for everyday till we got there. When we did get there Emma said we forgot her present mom. So it was the first weekend there and you remember us trying to get Emma use the two hour differences. Well because she was sharing my bed she had not gone to sleep. Mom I think between her and JJ you were warn out because you were already in bed. So Edie, Emma and I were still a wake as wrote in my journal and just talking. I asked Edie what I should do to make the lost of the birthday present being on time. Emma you piped right in we should have a party. A party with cake and ice cream, her favorite food and big present and decorations every where in the house. So  I wrote down all your ideas and everything we you wanted to get the list goes as follow.

1# Get Stuff to make a white cake with chocolate frosting, sprinkles and pink frosting to write on it.

2# Get a card  and Me and JJ get to pick it out mom you can help

3# We need to get her a big stuffed Teddy Bear or something like, in really big bag we can make look really special

4# Ice Cream lots of that mom and we need you need to make dinner and not let her do the dishes.

That was her list no joke she came up with it all on her own. So this why for your birthday you got to have to party one with your husband and sons and the other with your grand children. All thanks to my smart little Emma Rose

Ps~The stuff animal we got was a big dog not a bear and for some reason the only picture we got of that was this next one. It was meant for you but it was like a life size pillow and wrestling buddy for  JJ and Emma . An for whatever reason in this picture JJ is giving it a kiss then tackles it.   HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM  WE LOVE!!!

Snow Angels, Snow man, and Eating Snow

How I am Embarrassed to say have missed New England Snow.  Why may be because it stay longer then an afternoon and because it smells different. You don't have to believe me but when you leave in the dessert and you can smell the rain coming,and the snow but it's different. It's the  same in England but the snow smells different, it has a clean wonderful pure smell. I also love how a blanket of white is claiming and just peaceful.  An so fun when your children wake up screaming snow and wanting to go out and play at 8am so we got dressed and headed outside. We made snow angels and we had a goal of making three snow men each one our size. But we only got to make two.  There was one my JJ size and one my Emma size and we did get a lot more snow it just never stayed long. It didn't stop my two little one from opening the door as it snowed, jumping up and down going crazy  over it every time. Then there was waking up to the two of them jumping on the bed  because it had snowed that night and it was all white out side. Like I said there is nothing like new snow and especial New England snow.  My  Emma thought snow tasted better then ice cream and had us all try it out and as for the angels. Emma and JJ were the snow angels they wanted to be out there all day if we didn't have other fun things planned out, we would have been. Sad to say we only got two really snow day, but we did get to see what snow flacks look like up close personal by a caught  them on our gloves. An they got to know what it feels like to have snow fall on you as your run around in it and not have gone by the next day it was some special moments for us.

 First Snow man JJ size. 

This is are Valentine Snow man, it took a bit to even get JJ size the snow just wasn't the right mix.

Still on step one it took a long time but we had fun in between the building of our Valentine Snow man. Emma helped Grandma Sharie Clean the car of and gave her a snow ball to keep in freezer.

Eating Snow in between helping build, I said Snow is better then Ice Cream !

We are now in the middle part of the Snow man almost to the Head.

 

Final we got to the head of our snow man now to put the hat, nose and eyes and mouth on. Let see is as big as JJ......

Here is JJ where more cloths then he has ever his whole two year old life

 

Here is are Valentine Snow Man see his eyes are made of chocolate heart and his lips are a chocolate lips.

 
Here they are together and as you can see chocolate eyes and mouth wouldn't stay long so,

each eat a one of his chocolate eyes or mouth and gave him a new faces for his close up with JJ.

Our second Snow Man was also had different eyes and nose his was made of money.

He was Emma size, he took even longer to make but we don't have any picture showing the steps.

These where are only real snow days. As you can see with Emma Snow man we had to use the

shelve to get this one all done but we did it. 

  

At end of each Snow man building we had to go jump on the trampoline even if we had to clean it off first it just would be Grandma's with out jumping on the trampoline. Then also like all young children they had to test how well there snow suit padding and soft of snow by jumping of the trampoline. Before mom could help them down it was the perfect ending to both day. Because we had so much fun but no broken bones my children are little dare devils.
